01
Process

Building the
Digital Twin

We begin by thoroughly researching the fabric — studying the product listing, technical specifications, customer reviews, and available imagery on the Ripstop by the Roll product page.

From the source material, we develop a complete set of PBR texture maps that capture the fabric's physical properties — its weave structure, surface roughness, depth profile, and light interaction. These maps form the foundation of the digital twin.

"Venom 200 HPU is 100% UHMWPE but feels and acts like conventional lightweight pack fabric with the strength of UHMWPE."

Key Specifications

Specs That Tell
a Story

We identified the four defining performance characteristics of Venom™ 200 HPU and developed visual concepts to communicate each one instantly.

Waterproof
>0mm+

Hydrostatic head rating. Rated >5,000mm, independently tested to over 10,000mm with thick polyether PU coating.

Abrasion Resistance
0D

UHMWPE fiber blend delivers maximum cut, abrasion, and tear resistance — 15x stronger than steel by weight.

Lightweight
0.0 oz/yd²

At just 145 gsm, this fabric delivers extreme performance without the weight penalty of traditional heavy-duty materials.

Composition
0% UHMWPE

Blended with 43% solution-dyed polyester. Sews like traditional pack cloth — no special techniques required.

Visual Concepts

From Specs to
Visual Stories

Each technical specification is translated into a compelling visual concept — imagery that communicates performance instantly, without requiring the viewer to read a data sheet.

Extreme Durability
Fabric sheet holding a heavy rock
Tensile Strength

A single sheet suspended by its corners cradles a heavy granite boulder — zero tearing, zero puncture. UHMWPE delivers 15x the strength of steel by weight.

Tensile testing machine
Lab Tested

Industrial tensile testing confirms the fabric's extreme tear and tensile performance under controlled conditions.

Waterproof Performance
Water droplets beading on fabric
>10,000mm HH

C0 DWR coating repels water on contact. Every droplet beads and rolls — the fabric stays dry.

Macro water beading on ripstop
PFC & PFAS Free

Non-hydrolyzing polyether PU coating provides lasting waterproofness without environmental compromise.

Ultralight
Fabric floating among feathers
4.3 oz/yd²

At just 145 gsm, the fabric floats among feathers — extreme performance without the weight penalty.

Hands gently holding the fabric showing cloth-like drape
Cloth-Like Feel

Despite its extreme strength, Venom 200 HPU drapes and folds like conventional pack cloth — soft, pliable, and a dream to sew.

Real-World Performance
Backpack being dragged across rock
Abrasion Resistance

Dragged across jagged granite — the fabric emerges unscathed. Built for the harshest terrain.

Hiker with ultralight backpack
Backpacks & Bags

Ideal for ultralight backpacks, bike bags, duffels, and any high-wear application where weight matters.

Fabric tear resistance close-up
Tear Strength

The UHMWPE weave resists tearing under extreme force — maintaining structural integrity where it matters most.
